Gal 5:16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
Gal 5:17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.
Gal 5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,
Gal 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions,
Gal 5:21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Gal 5:23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Gal 5:25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.
Gal 5:26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
Gentleness ( strong’s number 5544) Galatians 5:22
chrēstotēs
khray-stot'-ace
From G5543; usefulness, that is, moral excellence (in character or demeanor): - gentleness, good (-ness), kindness.

(2Co 6:6) by purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, the Holy Spirit, genuine love;

(Eph 2:7) so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

(Col 3:12) Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,

(Tit 3:4) But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, kindness

Gentleness is one of the fruits of the spirit . with out the holy spirit it would be hard to use Gentleness and any of the other gifts of the spirit . As shown in the examples above the word can also be using the context of kindness, meaning that gentleness and kindness are conjoined.

ἔχθρα
echthra
ekh'-thrah
Feminine of G2190; hostility; by implication a reason for opposition: - enmity, hatred.

Gal 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions,

Jas 4:4 You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

Luk 23:12 And Herod and Pilate became friends with each other that very day, for before this they had been at enmity with each other.

Eph 2:15 by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace,

Eph 2:16 and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.

Summery: from this scripture it seams that the word hatred is used to extreme negative emotion . those who keep hatred in there heart will not inherit the kingdom of God .
