Translation of Colossians 3:1-10(ESV)
1. Therefore, if you have been raised with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2. Keep thinking about things above, not things on the earth,
3. for you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
4. When Christ (who is your life) appears, then you too will be revealed in glory with him.
5. So put to death whatever in your nature belongs to the earth: sexual immorality, impurity, shameful passion, evil desire, and greed which is idolatry.
6. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming on sons of disobedience.
7. You also lived your lives in this way at one time, the when you used to live among them.
8. But now, put off all such things as anger, rage, malice, slander, abusive language from your mouth.
9. Do not lie to one another since you have put off the old man with its practices
10.and have been clothed with the new man that is being renewed in knowledge according to the imag e of the one who created it.

Word Wrath stongs 3709 defintinition G3709 ὀργή orgē or-gay'
From G3713; properly desire (as a reaching forth or excitement of the mind), that is, (by analogy) violent passion (ire, or [justifiable] abhorrence); by implication punishment: - anger, indignation, vengeance, wrath
Col 3:6. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming on sons of disobedience.

The wrath of God against people for doing things wrong

(Romans 13:5 ESV) Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience

(Romans 13:4 ESV) for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer.

(Hebrews 3:11 ESV) As I swore in my wrath, 'They shall not enter my rest.'

(John 3:36 ESV) Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

(1 Thessalonians 5:9 ESV) For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

wrath of people against people

(Romans 2:8 ESV) but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury.

(Ephesians 4:31 ESV) Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.

(James 1:19 ESV) Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;
(Colossians 3:8 ESV) But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.

Summary most of the time the word is being used to expess extreem emotions and displeasure about some thing, or being very angry . The person is usually God but some times it is about people. It is a punishment for doing some thine or for not doing some thing. It can be expressed through your mouth. Only Jesus can pay for the wrath of God for us .
